How do I book a move with Dev International?
Call or WhatsApp +91 8650688588, or fill in the form on our contact page. We arrange a survey, send a written estimate and confirm your date once you approve.
Is the survey free?
Yes. The survey and estimate are free and carry no obligation.
Can I get an estimate without a survey?
For small loads, photos and a list on WhatsApp are often enough for an accurate estimate. For full homes, a survey gives the most reliable price.
How far in advance should I book?
One to two weeks for local moves and two to three weeks for intercity moves. Book earlier for month-end dates and the wedding season.
Will the price change on moving day?
Not unless the load or access changes from what was surveyed. If it does, we explain the difference before continuing.
Packing and Handling
What packing material do you use?
Bubble wrap, foam sheet, corrugated sheet, stretch film, strong 5-ply cartons and wooden crates, chosen for each item.
Do you dismantle furniture?
Yes. Beds, wardrobes, dining tables and modular units are dismantled and reassembled.
Can I pack some items myself?
Yes, and it can reduce cost. Leave fragile and valuable items to our crew for better protection and insurance cover.
What items cannot be moved?
Flammable materials, gas cylinders with gas, fuel, explosives, perishable food and illegal goods. Carry cash, jewellery and documents yourself.
Do you unpack at the new home?
Yes, on request. We can unpack, arrange kitchens and wardrobes and remove packing waste.
Transport and Delivery
How long does delivery take?
Same day to Delhi NCR and nearby cities, one to three days to most of north and central India, three to five days to Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata, and five to seven days to the south and northeast.
Do you use closed trucks?
Yes, for all household moves.
What is a shared truck?
A truck that carries goods of several customers going the same way. It costs less for small loads but may take longer.
Can I track my goods?
Your coordinator shares updates at loading, on the way and before arrival.
Will the crew set up furniture?
Yes. We place furniture where you want it and reassemble beds and wardrobes.
Vehicles, Insurance and Payment
Do you transport cars and bikes?
Yes, on carriers or in the same truck, with a condition report at pickup.
Is transit insurance available?
Yes. It is optional and priced on the value you declare.
How do I pay?
A booking amount confirms the date, and the balance is usually paid after delivery or before unloading on long routes. We accept UPI, bank transfer, cheque and cash.
Do you give GST invoices?
Yes. Every move is billed with a GST invoice, and intercity moves include a bilty and packing list.
What if something is damaged?
Note it on the delivery receipt, take photos and inform us. We will record it and help with the insurance claim or resolve it directly as agreed.

Can I move on a Sunday or a holiday?
Yes. Many customers prefer weekends and holidays, so these dates fill up faster. Book early for a Sunday or a festival weekend, especially at the end of the month.
Do you move pianos, gym equipment or aquariums?
Yes, with advance notice. Heavy and unusual items need extra crew, special packing and sometimes a crate, so mention them at the survey for an accurate estimate.
What should I keep with me during the move?
Jewellery, cash, important documents, medicines, laptops with work data and a bag of essentials for the first night should travel with you, not in the truck.
Can you move plants?
Plants can travel on short routes when packed with ventilation. On long routes they may not survive several days in a closed truck, so we discuss the options with you.
Will the same crew unload at my new home?
On local and short routes, usually yes. On long routes, a trained crew at the destination unloads using the same packing list and labels.
Do I need to be present during packing?
It helps if you or a family member is there to point out fragile items and confirm the packing list. If you cannot be present, appoint someone you trust.
How do I pay?
You can pay by bank transfer, UPI or cash as agreed in the estimate. Companies receive a GST invoice. Always take a receipt for any payment.
Can I change my moving date after booking?
Yes, subject to availability. Let us know as early as possible so we can rearrange the crew and vehicle without extra cost.
Do you provide packing material if I want to pack myself?
Yes. We can supply cartons, tape and bubble wrap in advance, and our crew will pack the fragile and heavy items on moving day.
Is my old furniture worth moving?
For long routes, moving cost can sometimes exceed the value of old or low-cost furniture. Our supervisor can help you decide what to move, sell or leave behind.
Do you remove packing material after unpacking?
Yes, when unpacking is part of your service, our crew collects the used cartons and wrapping and takes them away.
Questions About Long-Distance Moves
How do I know where my goods are during a long move?
Our office stays in contact with the driver and shares updates by phone or WhatsApp, including the expected arrival date at your new city.
What if I reach the new city after the truck?
Tell us your travel plan in advance. If needed, goods can be held for a short period and delivered when you arrive, or stored in a warehouse for longer gaps.
Are there state border or entry charges?
Some routes involve tolls, entry fees or permit charges. These are explained in your estimate so you know about them before booking.
Can my car and household goods arrive together?
Yes. We schedule the car carrier to reach close to the household delivery date, so you have your vehicle soon after you move in.
Is packing different for long routes?
Yes. Goods spend days in the truck, so we add extra padding, moisture protection for furniture and stronger cartons for heavy items.
Can I send a few items on a long route without a full truck?
Yes. Small consignments can travel as part loads with other customers' goods, packed and marked separately, which reduces the cost.

How long does a local move take?
Most one and two bedroom homes are packed, moved and unloaded in one day. Larger homes may need packing the day before.
Do you move within the old city lanes?
Yes. For narrow lanes we use smaller vehicles and, where needed, carry goods to a larger truck parked nearby.
Can you move just a few items within Agra?
Yes. We move single items such as a fridge, sofa or almirah, as well as a few cartons, with a mini truck and two crew members.
Do you work in the evenings?
For offices and shops, evening or night moves can be arranged so that business is not disturbed. Residential moves are usually done in the daytime because of society rules.
Is there a minimum charge for local moves?
Yes, a minimum charge covers the vehicle and crew for a short job. The exact amount is shared when you describe the items.
