Terms and Conditions

The terms that apply to our estimates, bookings and relocation services.

Effective from 30 September 2026

These terms and conditions govern relocation services provided by Dev International Packers and Movers, Plot 85/20, Tej Bahadur Enclave, Maharishi Puram Colony, Agra, Uttar Pradesh 282007 ("Dev International", "we", "us"), and the use of packersmoversagra.com. Services include household shifting, office relocation, car and bike transport, packing, loading and unloading, goods transportation, warehouse storage and arranging transit insurance. By accepting an estimate, making a booking payment or using our services, you ("the customer") agree to these terms. The written estimate for your move is part of this agreement and, where it differs from these general terms, the estimate applies.

1. Surveys and Estimates

Estimates are based on a survey in person or by video, or on photos and information you provide. They list charges for packing material, labour, transport, unloading, unpacking, optional services, insurance and taxes. Estimates are valid for the period stated on them. If goods, addresses, floors, access, timing or services change after the survey, the price may change, and we will explain any change before carrying on with the work.

2. Booking and Payment

A booking is confirmed when you accept the estimate and pay the booking amount stated on it. The balance is payable as agreed, usually after delivery for local moves and before unloading for intercity moves. Payments can be made by UPI, bank transfer, cheque or cash against a receipt. GST is charged as applicable and shown on the invoice.

3. Date Changes and Cancellation

You may change or cancel a booking by informing us in writing. Changes made at least 72 hours before the moving date carry no charge, subject to availability. Cancellations less than 48 hours before the moving date may attract a charge to cover crew and vehicle costs already committed; the amount will be stated on your estimate. If we must reschedule for reasons beyond our control, we will inform you promptly and agree a new date.

4. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about goods, addresses, floors, lifts and parking.
  • Arrange building permissions, lift bookings and parking, or give us the contacts to do so.
  • Keep cash, jewellery, documents, medicines and other valuables with you.
  • Do not hand over prohibited items such as gas cylinders with gas, fuel, firearms, explosives, narcotics, perishable food or illegal goods.
  • Be present, or appoint a representative, at packing, loading and delivery to check the packing list and sign documents.

5. Packing, Dismantling and Setup

We pack using material suited to each item and label cartons by room. Items packed by you are accepted as packed and our responsibility is limited to visible external damage to the carton. We dismantle and reassemble standard furniture. Specialised work such as electrical, plumbing, gas, AC installation or wall fittings may be arranged through technicians at additional cost.

6. Transit and Delivery

Delivery times are estimates based on normal conditions. Weather, road closures, traffic restrictions, checkposts, strikes and other events outside our control can cause delays, and we will keep you informed. If delivery cannot be completed because the destination is not ready or the consignee is unavailable, storage, waiting or re-delivery charges may apply.

7. Vehicle Transport

Vehicles are inspected at pickup and their condition recorded in a report signed by both sides. Vehicles must be free of personal belongings, with minimal fuel. We are not responsible for mechanical or electrical faults, or for items left inside. Valid registration, insurance and pollution papers must be provided.

8. Transit Insurance and Liability

Transit insurance is optional and arranged on the value you declare. If you choose not to insure, goods travel at owner's risk, and our liability for loss or damage caused by our proven negligence is limited to the amount stated on your estimate. We are not liable for wear and tear, pre-existing damage, internal defects of appliances, damage to self-packed items without external damage, or loss caused by events beyond our control.

9. Claims

Any damage or shortage must be noted on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery and reported to us in writing, with photos, within 48 hours. We will inspect and respond, and will help with insurance claims where cover was taken. Claims reported later may not be accepted by insurers.

10. Storage

Goods in our warehouse are held under a signed inventory. Storage charges are payable monthly in advance unless agreed otherwise. We may hold goods until outstanding charges are paid. Goods not collected and unpaid for an extended period, after written notice, may be dealt with as permitted by law.

11. Conduct and Safety

Our crew will work respectfully and safely. We may pause work if conditions are unsafe, such as damaged staircases, heavy rain on open loading areas or disputes at the premises. We ask customers to keep children and pets clear of the work area.

12. Website Use

Content on this website is for general information. Prices shown are guides and not binding offers. You may not copy or misuse the content, attempt to disrupt the site, or submit false or abusive information through our forms.

13. Disputes

We aim to resolve concerns quickly by discussion. If a dispute cannot be resolved, these terms are governed by the laws of India and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Agra, Uttar Pradesh.

Bookings, Payments and Claims

Booking and advance

A move is confirmed when you approve the written estimate and pay the advance stated in it. The balance is payable as agreed, usually before unloading on local moves and before delivery on intercity moves.

Changes and cancellation

Dates can be changed subject to availability. If you cancel after the crew or vehicle has been arranged, a part of the advance may be retained to cover costs already incurred, as stated in your estimate.

Items we do not carry

We do not transport cash, jewellery, important documents, firearms, explosives, inflammable liquids, illegal goods or perishable food. Gas cylinders are carried only empty and sealed.

Additional charges

Extra charges apply only when the work changes from the estimate, for example extra goods, an additional floor without a lift, long carries from the parking area, or waiting time caused by the customer. Tolls, entry taxes and parking fees are charged as stated in the estimate.

Damage and claims

Check goods at delivery and note any damage on the receipt before signing. Claims must be reported within the time stated in your estimate or insurance policy. Without insurance, our liability is limited as set out in the consignment note.

Delays

Delivery dates are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, road closures, strikes, accidents, government action or other events beyond our control, but we will keep you informed.

Disputes

We aim to resolve every concern through direct discussion. Any dispute that cannot be settled this way is subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.

Customer Responsibilities

To help your move go smoothly, we ask customers to share accurate information about the goods, addresses, floors and access when booking. Please arrange permission from your housing society or building for loading and unloading, and inform us of any timing rules. Remove valuables, documents and cash before packing begins, and empty and clean appliances such as fridges and washing machines in advance.

Someone should be present at both pickup and delivery to confirm the packing list and sign the receipt. If a delivery cannot be received on the agreed date because of the customer, waiting or storage charges may apply as mentioned in the estimate.

These responsibilities exist to protect your goods and to avoid delays. If any point is unclear, please ask our office before your move.

Vehicle Transport Terms

Cars and bikes are inspected with the owner before loading, and existing marks are recorded on the condition report signed by both parties. The vehicle should carry only a small amount of fuel and no personal belongings. Delivery is made to the address agreed in the estimate, and the owner or an authorised person should check the vehicle against the condition report before signing. Any new damage must be noted on the receipt at the time of delivery.

By approving a written estimate from Dev International Packers and Movers, you accept these terms together with any specific conditions written in that estimate.

These terms were last reviewed in 2026 and apply to all bookings from that date onward.
